Wales Week In Newcastle

Wales Week is a worldwide celebration of Wales! This annual programme of St David's Day events, celebrates everything great about our beautiful country. The programme seeks connect the Welsh from all around the world to all come together and share stories and ways to celebrate our great nation.

We have the St Davids Day dinner and the 6 Nations match against England during this week where you can join us.

6 Nations 2020

The 2020 6 Nations is uppon us. Join the Newcastle Welsh Society to watch all of the 6 nations games. We will be meeting at the County in Gosforth on game day to support the lads. Check our Facebook and Twitter pages for timings and locations. If you come all the time, ot if it's your first time, don't be a stranger and come along and meet us, everyone is welcome!

 The society was founded in 1905 with the object of providing opportunities for Welsh people in the Newcastle area to meet socially and to continue their interest in the language and culture of Wales.

Sefydlwyd y gymdeithas ym 1905 gyda'r bwriad o ddarparu cyfleoedd i bobl Cymru yn ardal Newcastle i gwrdd yn gymdeithasol a pharhau â'u diddordeb yn iaith a diwylliant Cymru.

What Do We Do?

 The objects of the Society are the furtherance of a spirit of friendship and mutual co-operation among its members and the preservation and celebration of the National culture, language and traditions, and particularly the promotion of functions which will stimulate the appreciation of Welsh Music, Literature and Drama. All Welsh people and all who can find a common bond in Welsh associations and interests are invited to Membership. The Society offers a cordial welcome to all newcomers to the district.

All meetings held at Northern Rugby Club, McCracken Park, Gosforth, NE3 2DT on the first Thursday of the month at 7.30pm (unless otherwise stated). Please feel free to turn up at any of the meetings.
